Air Pollution Scrubber Equipment
Treatment Procedure

Waste gas is treated with local exhaust and dispersion treatment tower, i.e. sucking waste gas with connected exhaust conduits from the origin from air duct to waste gas scrubbing tower for treatment, emitting to the atmosphere after reached the environmental emission standard.

Different polluting substances may result in various treatment methods, generally the treatment procedure for waste gas is as followed:

Design Outline

After acquiring basic waste gas information from customer, complete overall design for waste gas treatment through the following procedure. Continuous operations are performed for selection of air pipe materials, calculation of air volume and pressure loss, extractor choices and design of scrubbing tower, enabling the system design to meet customer’s process requirements.

Description on Treatment Procedure(Reverse Flow Laster Packing Tower) F18B:ABB67

Treatment Principle

Wet scrubber method will treat 0.3 μm of particle substances in waste gas, removing gas pollutants in waste gas; basic principle involves contact between gas and liquid results in pollutants removed from gas transmitting to liquid, and finally separate clean gas from polluted liquid to achieve the purpose for acquiring clean air.

When particle pollutants in airflow contact with scrubbing liquid, the dispersed liquid drops and liquid membrane would attach onto particles in airflow or humidify the particles, making the particles apart removed with effects such as gravity and inertial force and gas pollutants will be mass transferred through diffusion of eddying flow molecules and chemical reactions into scrubbing liquid to achieve the result of separation with inflow gas; besides, chemical substances may also be added into scrubbing liquid to control gas stinky substances through absorption.

Treatment Procedure

Waste gas will be absorbed and neutralized by scrubbing liquid in filling-type scrubbing tower (contact surface area increased by means of fillings) to remove hazardous particle substances in waste gas; waste gas is absorbed downward as gas-liquid through filling-type scrubbing tower to spray little water drops, meanwhile, waste gas will reversely flow through tower bottom to achieve gas-liquid contact. Such a treatment procedure may cool down temperature of waste gas, provide gas conditioning and particle removal; for purpose to secure gas in the tower evenly distributes and complete contact of gas-liquid, applied proper fillings should possess loose surface to create larger free surface area, which prolongs the contact time of gas and liquid. Besides, selection of filling filtering materials should be that of appropriate space to decrease resistance for raising gas, decreasing pressure drops of scrubbing tower with the process of mist eliminator before emission to the atmosphere.

Treatment Benefits

  • Fillings with large effective surface area would provide high efficiency of mass-energy transfer and strong contact-removal effectiveness; even structure with large holes may decrease pressure drops so as to save motor power.
  • Cheaper price that lower cost required!
  • Compact and lightweight design may decrease overall weight and space cost of scrubbing tower, secure and durable structure provide possibility for super high piling up without particular braces!
  • The whole system may be designed to be located on the ground or over roof of not much height!
  • It may remove small particles of 0.3 to 1μm, providing 99% of removal rate for 1 to 2μm particles.
